In honour of Tears of the Kingdom only being a few weeks from release I felt like I had to draw something. I haven't been doing a lot of drawing just for fun lately, but i'm trying to do it more, emphasis on FUN.

If anyone have any questions about my drawing process, don't be afraid to ask!

One of my favorite parts of your art is how you blend line-work and value/color rendering so well together! Do you have any thought process or steps you follow to do it so well? I love sketching and I love painting, but when it comes to rendering, I have a hard time making the two cohesive.

Good question! The way I blend lineart and colors/shadows together is that when I have rendered each part in different layers (like hair, skin, clothes) I collapse all the layers including the lineart layer, and then continue rendering details, and make sure everything blends nicely. So I would say 50% of the process is done on many separate layers, then 50% after I have collapsed the layers. The background is still on a separate layer tho, but I think the fewer layers the more put together the drawing looks! It's about imitating traditional drawing, where there is only one layer.
